McDaniel named new Main Street Enterprise Director

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) - The City of Enterprise announced Monday that Lily McDaniel would take over as the new Executive Director of the city’s downtown revitalization program, Main Street Enterprise.

McDaniel, a graduate of Troy University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management, has plenty of familiarity with the ins and outs of Main Street Enterprise, having served as an intern for the program throughout 2023 and early 2024, including playing key roles in the city’s Military Appreciation Day, Back-2-School Bash, Girls Night Out, Whoville Celebration, The Nook, and Mardi Gras on Main events.

“Enterprise became home to me during my time as a Main Street intern,” said McDaniel. “I developed invaluable experiences and relationships, and truly fell in love with this community and our vibrant Downtown. It’s now my mission to serve the Downtown Enterprise community in every way I can.”

“Lily brings a strong background in community-based marketing, event planning, and nonprofit engagement, along with a deep personal connection to Enterprise,” said Blake Moore, Director of Community Services and Recreation for the City of Enterprise. “She understands what makes our downtown special and has already proven her commitment to its growth and success.”

The Florala native has also actively worked in an array of other community programs, including with the Andalusia Chamber of Commerce’s July Jamz series and the O’s Cool Bike Foundation’s annual Ride and Walk. She also worked with Troy University’s Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management program as an Academic Program Coordinator.

McDaniel takes over the role as Main Street Enterprise Executive Director from Mariah Montgomery, who spent nearly three years in the role before taking over as the Program Development Specialist for Main Street Alabama, the statewide program with which Main Street Enterprise is affiliated.
