(CNN) - Taylor Fresh Foods and Taylor Farms said they are recalling all of its iceberg lettuce sourced from central Mexico that was sold in the U.S. amid an outbreak of explosive diarrhea caused by a parasite.

The vegetable and fruit producer said the lettuce was distributed from June 29 through July 16 in 27 states including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan and Texas.

In a statement, Taylor Fresh Foods said no other products across the country are affected and no Taylor Farms-branded salad kits contain iceberg lettuce.

According to the FDA, the recall was prompted by a growing cyclosporiasis outbreak.

It comes after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it was able to link cases of cyclosporiasis to lettuce sold at some Taco Bell restaurants.

The lettuce was supplied by Taylor Farms.

The CDC subsequently urged people not to eat lettuce at Taco Bell restaurants in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia.

According to the CDC, there have been nearly 7,000 cases of cyclosporiasis confirmed or under investigation.

Taylor Fresh Foods said the company is actively removing the affected lettuce. The company has also stopped receiving iceberg lettuce from the implicated lot and has suspended distribution of lettuce from central Mexico.

A full list of the recalled products, along with their descriptions and best-by dates, can be found on the FDA’s website.
