Flash flooding hits parts of north, central Alabama hard

Some parts of northern and southern Alabama have been inundated with heavy rain, causing severe flooding throughout the state.

In Brighton flooding trapped some people in their vehicles and homes.

Firefighters say at least two people had to be pulled from their homes due to rising floodwaters from a local creek.

The rising waters has also forced the closure of multiple roads in the town.

And in Birmingham, the floodwaters were even more significant.

Flash Flood Watches remain in effect through tonight.
