Man robs woman at gunpoint after she rejects his romantic advances, police say

ST. LOUIS (KMOV/Gray News) – A woman was robbed in a Walgreens parking lot in St. Louis after she told police she rejected the robber’s romantic advances.

The robbery happened around 5:45 p.m. Friday in the Walgreens parking lot at 1530 Lafayette Avenue.

Police said the victim had just left Walgreens when an unknown man who appeared to be in his late 20s or 30s began making romantic advances towards her. The woman told police she rejected the advances and entered her car.

Then, she told police, the man knocked on her passenger window with a gun. He took the victim’s purse and keys and began walking away.

The victim told police she started following the suspect, but he then turned back and shot at her once. The woman wasn’t hit, and she ran back to her car before calling the police.
