Last day to use Payless gift cards

Today is the last day to use Payless gift cards and store credit, as the shoe chain continues with its chain-wide liquidation.

Last month, Payless declared bankruptcy, and the stores have already stopped accepting returns, customer coupons and reward redemption.

The company's going-out-of-business sale is expected to continue through the end of May.

Consumers who don't use their card before the deadline would have to file a claim with the bankruptcy estate for the value of the card.

However, you may not be able to recover any money.
