Troy University fraternity raises record amount of money during Walk Hard philanthropy event

TROY, Ala. (WTVY)—Troy University’s Alpha Tau Omega fraternity reached a significant milestone during its annual Walk Hard philanthropy event.

The group raised the most money in event history, collecting $140,000 for Jeep Sullivan’s Wounded Warrior Outdoor Adventures, which provides outdoor adventures for wounded veterans.

This year marked the sixth annual Walk Hard event, where 35 fraternity brothers participated in the difficult 128.3-mile trek from Troy to Panama City Beach.

Since the annual event was created in 2009, Alpha Tau Omega has raised nearly $800,000 for Jeep Sullivan’s Wounded Warrior Outdoor Adventures. The walk raises crucial funds and provides a platform for veterans to share their powerful stories of resilience and recovery.
