Downtown Enterprise showing off pets with new banner program

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) - The faces of furry friends are set to be spotlighted along the streets of downtown Enterprise as part of their new banner program.
Registration for the ‘Fur’iends of Main Street Enterprise Banner Program opens on Monday, October 21 at 8 a.m.
Participants can purchase a 24″ x 18″ double-sided banner for $100, with that banner displaying the photo of a family pet. For an additional $25, a different pet from the same family can be displayed on each side of the banner.
The banners will be displayed along the streets of downtown Enterprise from January through May, and pet owners will be allowed to keep the banner once the program concludes. All proceeds from the banner program will benefit downtown beautification and revitalization efforts.
“This is an exciting opportunity for pet owners to showcase their pets while contributing to the ongoing efforts to revitalize the downtown district,” Main Street Enterprise Executive Director Mariah Montgomery said. “Whether it’s man’s best friend, a cuddly cat, a horse, goat, or even pet snake, we want all pet owners to consider this unique opportunity share their pets with our community and help us raise money for ongoing projects.”
A limited number of banner reservations will be available through the City of Enterprise Community Services Rec Desk program.
