Daleville police seek person-of-interest in deadly McDonald’s shooting

DALEVILLE, Ala. (WTVY) - Police are searching for at least one person-of-interest who they believe was possibly involved in a woman’s fatal shooting on Saturday in Daleville or knows something about the apparent murder.

37-year-old Stephanie McCray was pronounced dead after the shooting that occurred outside the city’s McDonalds. Dale County Coroner John Cawley confirmed her identity.

The shooting occurred near Fort Novosel’s main gate where multiple cameras are situated. The shooting is not believed to be connected with the U.S. Army base.

Daleville Police Chief John Crawford pleaded for public information to assist the investigation, saying tips would be kept anonymous.
