ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) --

Annie’s cafe in Enterprise is gearing up for their annual Christmas day meal.

They are looking for donations and volunteers for the meals.

This year will look a little different as they will have to resort to a drive thru meal pick-up

The café has been doing the Christmas meal tradition for the last seven years.

The café began the tradition by handing out meals to less fortunate families, soldiers on post, first responders and hospice care residents.

As the years went on the meal turned into a group of people getting together on Christmas day.

“Even though there is a pandemic going on, there’s still people that are hungry,” Co-owner of Annie’s Café Matt Larson said. “There’s still people that want to come together and fellowship and hangout and look forward to it.”

Annie’s has served upwards of 2,000 meals in years past, but that number will be lower this year due to COVID-19.
