DALLAS (Gray DC) - President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance closed out the Republican National Committee’s midterm convention on Thursday night and urged GOP voters to get out to the polls in November.

The president ended the three-day event by asking attendees to pledge to vote, so Republicans can maintain control of Congress.

“We swear that on November 3rd we are going to go out and vote,” Trump said to the crowd, while holding up his right hand.

Throughout the convention, Trump and other Republicans criticized Democrats, saying their party has become too radical.

“This is who the Democrats are now, my friends. They’re not just the party of little higher taxes, maybe some dumb regulations. They’re not the party of FDR or JFK. Hell, they’re not even the party of Bill Clinton anymore. The Democrats are the party of hatred,” Vice President Vance said, during his final speech.

Democrats also held events in Dallas to counter the GOP messaging, and said that Trump and congressional Republicans have not delivered on their 2024 promises.

“He keeps on making promises and he keeps on breaking them,” Rep. Jason Crow, D-Colo., said. “That’s what he’s doing. So they’ve had their chance. They’ve had their chance over the last couple of years to reduce costs, and they’ve done anything but.”

In the weeks ahead, President Trump is promising more than 30 rallies on the campaign trail in support of Republican candidates.
