Wiregrass teenagers put on play after just one week of rehearsal

HEADLAND, Ala. (WTVY) -- A group of Wiregrass teenagers spent just one week learning a play, then managed to put it on Friday night.

South East Alabama Community Theater's one week summer camp put on "13 Ways to Screw up Your College Interview" at Headland High School.

The six campers split the duties of the show's sixteen parts and memorized all the lines and stage direction.

For the high schoolers in the show, the subject matter was pretty timely.

"It actually gives insight as to how annoyed these interviewers could be when you come in,” said Cast Member Hollan Espy. “We don't know what they just went through. It could be great, good or really ridiculous like some of the ones we have here."

This camp featured middle and high schoolers, but SEACT has several other camps this summer with student actors of all ages.
