(AL.com) — Alabama voters have one more week to register if they intend to vote in the Dec. 12 special election for the U.S. Senate between Democratic nominee Doug Jones and Republican nominee Roy Moore.
Under state law, the last day to register is the 15th day before an election, which will be Nov. 27.
Voters can register during normal office hours at board of registrars' offices and and other designated locations in their counties. Or they can register online until 11:59 p.m. next Monday.
The deadline also applies to voters who have moved and need to update their registration.
Alabama's new law banning crossover voting has no bearing on the Dec. 12 election. That law only applies to party primary runoffs.
