DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- Wallace Community College students who have served in the military are getting a special treat just in time for Veterans Day.

Those students now have a place to study, meet or just chill out.

That's because the community college reopened its veteran center.

At the center, they are provided transition and education counseling support resources.

That's in addition to a mini-computer lab, lounge area, and study area.

"They're all very excited to kind of have their own spot in it's our way to give back a little bit for everything that they've sacrificed,” says the college’s veteran affairs coordinator Ashleigh McCarthy.

The veteran center is located in room 207 of the science building.
