It's the new name on the health sciences building.

Dr. Heersink and his family recently donated $1.1 million to the Wallace Community College Foundation.

The money will be used for scholarships and to support the school's health science programs.

Over the years many members of the Heersink family have attended the college.

"The programs out here are outstanding. Students are getting great leadership, they're getting opportunity to get a great education, and they're gonna become way better off by having the opportunities that they're learning here." says Dr. Heersink.

A portrait of Dr. Heersink was presented and will hang in the newly-named health sciences building.
