The event was sponsored by Wells Fargo and included bands, cheerleaders and mascots from the different schools.

Miss Alabama was also on the bus lending her support to the cause.

During each stop, the United Way will announce how much has been raised to date in each county.

"$2,888,888.88. And when we reach that goal the Wiregrass Foundation is going to contribute $400,000, so that is a tremendous amount of money for these 41 health and human service organizations that need it that help people every day right here in the Wiregrass," said Walter Hill CEO of Wiregrass United Way.
