Troy Dothan hosts job fair

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- A room filled with possibilities and companies with open positions all ready to meet potential employees as the Troy University Dothan campus hosted a job fair Wednesday for students and the public.

SE Health Generalist Courtney Doby said, “We want to change the culture that comes into the hospital we want people that are more encouraging more inviting who represent what the health care system stands for period. With us changing our name to South East Health were centering more on what the health system stands for."

While other companies talked about the benefits that others can't beat.

Waffle House Recruiting Director Megan Noonan said, “Three weeks paid vacation a year, stock options they can get with each promotion and you can also put up some of your recent pay in the stock."

Some businesses were looking out for their clients.

Houston County DHR Case Aid Desmond Helms said, “We interact with the clients first-hand every day, so we can kind of get a feel for their personality, and get a sense of their work environment that they will be interested in." so we're coming to scout for them so once we bring it to them there like oh yeah that might be pretty good. I just think its help one help all. "

This lady is hoping to land a job before she left the building.

Job Seeker Marquita Franklin “I’m heavily looking for a position in healthcare or the accounting field in regards to an available position that may be interested or maybe interested in me.”

With more than a dozen employers, she has plenty of options.
