VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) -- The clock is ticking for Georgia voters, as Tuesday is the last day to register in order to vote in the spring primary.
Registration can be done online until midnight.
The primary will be held on May 22, with early voting beginning on Monday. Early voting will end the Friday before election day.
"It's very important to the public that citizens take the time to vote because that's the way they can make changes in their communities and the nation," said Kim Fulk, an elections technician.
A week from Tuesday, the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce is hosting a meet-and-greet event. Several candidates running for Governor and state school superintendent will be there, as well as those running for local races, like the Lowndes County Board of Education.
