Enterprise collecting donations for tornado victims

ENTERPRISE Ala.(WTVY)- This weekend the City of the Enterprise is sponsoring a relief effort to help victims of the Lee County tornado and they're asking folks to donate supplies.

A tractor-trailer was donated by Session's Peanut Company and will be parked at the Enterprise Walmart from 7 am to 7 pm starting Friday through Sunday.

Here is the list of items they're asking for:

• Laundry Detergent and fabric softener sheets
• Ziplock baggies (all sizes)
• Garbage bags (all sizes)
• Household cleaning supplies
• Mops and brooms
• Snacks: peanut butter crackers, cheese crackers, chips
• Dry cereal (variety)
• Coffee, creamer, sugar
• Juice (variety)
• Sodas (variety)
• Feminine hygiene products
• Baby/toddler snacks: rice, oatmeal, puffs

Special Project Coordinator for the City of Enterprise, Kay Kirkland said, "When the tornado hit Enterprise so many from all over the country came to our aid; helped in every way that you can think of to get us through that horrible time, so our city wants to show our empathy."
