ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) - Medical Center Enterprise and Jenna Adaway Photography put a unique spin on raising awareness for children with Down Syndrome.
Owen-Sean along with eleven other children from around the Wiregrass became their favorite super hero for a day.
They will be featured in a calendar put together by Jenna Adaway in order to raise awareness for Down Syndrome.
The super heroes symbolize strength for both the children and parents raising them.
Marketing Director of Medical Center Enterprise, Lisa Fenner says, “You see the patience it takes and the compassion, but yet they also have kind of that sternness to them because there’s so much of society that does not understand.”
But it's not hard to understand the appeal of this photo shoot.
From captain America... To The Hulk.... And even Wonder Woman... The kids from one to 13 years old... are ready to save the day.
Emily Clark says, "My son Hunter, he's eight and he has just been a joy for us. He enjoys being a superhero so he and his brothers are all about superheroes so when they said they were going to do superheroes we knew that it would be great."
Jenna plans to have the calendars ready by March 21st, Just in time for world Down Syndrome Awareness Day.
3/21 stands for the third replica of the 21st chromosome…Down Syndrome.
These photoshoots don’t cost the parents one cent.
All proceeds from calendar sales will go to the Buddy Walk which takes place in October.
