(CNN) -- There's a meteorological mess in California.

A major storm pounded the Golden State with snow, flash floods and mudslides.
And now other parts of the country are getting ready for weather issues.
Mandatory evacuations already ordered in some areas recently scorched from wildfires.
The National Weather Service says the current storm has dumped 1.9" inches of rain in Downtown Los Angeles.
That nearly doubles the record amount for that date in the area, set in 1997.
And this stormy blast is going to spread across the country this weekend.

Forecasters say the storm is expected to head out to sea on Monday.
