DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) — The Dothan Area Botanical Gardens will wrap up their 13th annual 'scarecrows In The Gardens' October 31st.
Businesses, non-profits, clubs and schools built creative scarecrows for display at the gardens.
This year's theme was "The sound of music."
There were over 30 entries.
People were encouraged to build a scarecrow that would depict a song or musician.
There were scarecrows ranging from Michael Jackson to "3 blind mice."
This is one of the biggest events that the gardens holds each year.

Larry Dykes, Chairman of the Scarecrows says:
"I mean we had every day just about there were students coming in or people from some of the nursing homes and some of those so it's just a tremendous month for us when we have the scarecrows out here."

Dykes says he hopes to see an uptick in next year's entries.
The theme will be historical characters or events.
