TROY, AL -- (WTVY) As everyone gets warmed up on stage, Troy's pop ensemble, POPulus gets ready to debut a new single for the university.

This comes after the recent success of both the football and basketball programs and the catchphrase "Rebuild the Wall" as the sign of a turnaround.

Robert Smith, Coordinator of Troy's Music Industry Program, says the saying is something he wants everyone in Troy to believe in.

He says ""What we decided to do and our students decided to do was take that moniker 'Rebuild the Wall' and turn that into a literal anthem for all Troy fans..."

Madison Smith is a choreographer for POPulus, and she thinks a song like this will help to put Troy on the map.

She said "It's a reflection of the turning point that our university is taking, especially with our football team doing so well and beating LSU, and the entire nation is looking at this little town called Troy."

The single "Rebuild the Wall" will be the sixth album that the ensemble has released since 2011. You can find it on iTunes...Just search for POPulus.
