ALABAMA (AL.com) — On the same morning a poll said Roy Moore has his biggest lead in weeks, another poll gave Doug Jones his biggest lead of the Alabama Senate general election campaign.

Jones, the Democratic nominee, holds a 10-point lead over Republican nominee Moore, according to a Fox News poll released on Monday.

Earlier, an Emerson College poll pegged Moore with a 9-point advantage over Jones.

The Fox poll was conducted Dec. 7-10, sampling 1,127 likely voters in live landline and cell phone interviews and has a margin of error of 3 percent. It also had undecided voters at 8 percent and voters supporting another candidate at 2 percent.

The Emerson College poll sampled 600 likely voters and data was collected using both an Interactive Voice Response system of landlines only and an online panel provided by Survey Sampling International.
