Dothan (WTVY)-- A Headland man is accused of passing counterfeit one hundred-dollar bills with the words “for motion picture use only” inscribed on them.

Court records shows James Darn Rife, 41 of Woodland Drive, faces two counts of Possessing a Forged Instrument. Based upon a witness list, he passed the bills at a McDonalds restaurant in Dothan.

The bills have popped up across much of the nation over past months. They appear to have been used in movie or TV productions and feature phrases as "for video and motion pictures only," "in gold we rust" and "in him we trust." Some victims, according to media reports, were bilked out of over one thousand dollars.

Houston County jail records show Rife was booked just before midnight Tuesday and, as of late Wednesday, had failed to post $60,000 bail.
