Overnight severe weather threat

By  |

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- Severe weather is possible overnight into Friday. We can expect to see the storms impact the Western portion of our viewing area from 12am-2am. The storms will move out of our eastern viewing area around 8am. Most of the Wiregrass is under an enhanced risk for severe weather, the main threats being damaging winds, a few isolated tornadoes, and hail. With the storms moving through overnight it is important to make sure you have a weather warning system that will wake you up during overnight severe weather. The 4Warn storm team will be tracking the storms and will be broadcasting live on WTVY and the WTVY Facebook page for any dangerous weather event.
