DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) Dothan will host some of the around 5,000 drop-off locations throughout the country for the Operation Christmas Child's National Collection Week. The collection week will run from November 18 to November 25.

People, churches, and other groups wanting to participate in the program can fill shoe boxes with various kinds of items including toys, hygiene products, and school supplies. The each shoe box should be focused around either a boy or a girl of one of the following age groups: 2 to 4, 5 to 9, and 10 to 14.

Once the shoe box is filled, it should be dropped off at any of the available drop-off locations around the Wiregrass.

Drop-off locations can be found by following the link below:

The shoe boxes will be sent overseas to children affected by war, disease, disaster, poverty, and famine. Samaritan's Purse hopes these shoe box gifts will help make a difference in those kids' lives.
