One dead, two seriously injured in Jackson County crash

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -- At least one person is dead and two others seriously injured after a crash in Jackson County late Monday night.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, Jana Baggett, 41, of Marianna was heading in the wrong direction going north in a southbound lane of Highway 231.

Troopers say Baggett hit a car driven by Andrew Bellamy, 54, of Atlanta.

Baggett was taken to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead. According to FHP, the crash was alcohol-related.

Bellamy and his passenger, Tashante Anderson, 32, were both taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
