Man faces charges in Dothan hotel shooting

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) Bond has been set for a Dothan man accused of shooting his girlfriend inside a local motel.

Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish tells WTVY 32-year-old Tyshawn Fearington of Dothan, fired multiple rounds inside the Fairfield Inn around 2:30 Sunday morning.

His girlfriend was shot twice following a domestic dispute , though it’s not clear what the couple was arguing about.

Officers arrived on scene and set up a perimeter, believing Fearington was still inside, but he’d escaped.

Chief Parrish tells WTVY Fearington turned himself into the Dothan Police Department around 8:15 p.m. Sunday night without incident.

Fearington faces several felony charges.

Bond has been set at $400,000.

His girlfriend is expected to make a full recovery.
