After receiving many complaints of long breaks by smokers, one company in Japan said it will make the change.

There was concern that non-smokers were not allowed similar breaks.

They hoped that giving the non-smoking employees extra paid time off would alleviate their concerns.

As an added benefit, some current smokers at the company say they are now planning to quit due to this added incentive.
