ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) -- Governor Kay Ivey was in Enterprise Thursday.
Ivey toured the Weecat Industries facility and watched as kids ages 3 to 5 years-old demonstrated some basic citizenship skills.
Kids participated in simulated workplace experiences to encourage natural learning potential.
Governor Ivey says the earlier kids learn basic skills, the more prepared they will be in life.
"I didn't go to kindergarten when I was growing up, I just started in the first grade. I'm sure I would have done better had I had preparation for kindergarten and gone to kindergarten. So the earlier we start the better we are."
Weecat Industries says it teaches students developmental lessons in ways a traditional classroom cannot.
