OZARK, AL. (WTVY) - The Friends of the Library met Monday afternoon at the Ozark Dale County Library to further discuss their new library,
Last year, the city began saving money for the new library which will cost $3 million.
The architects of the new library presented their finished floor plans at the meeting.
The Library has sent written grants to Wells Fargo and the Department of Agriculture.
"This building is old and needs to be updated. We constantly battle the roof because it leaks, and it's a flat top. So we would need a lot of repairs," said Head Librarian Sandra Holmes.
The building has further complications from mold issues and needs electrical work.
They still need another $2.4 million
The next fundraiser for the new library will be in April.
