Family speaks out about man missing since July

COFFEE COUNTY (AL), WTVY A family is pleading for information on a man who has been missing for seven weeks.

Chris Harrison was last seen in Coffee County on July 11th. The family says he has not withdrawn money from the bank or used his cell phone.

The disappearance is hitting the nine year old son, Ethan, especially hard. The family knew something was seriously wrong when Chris never called Ethan for his ninth birthday.

"First I thought he would call in the afternoon, but he didn't,” says a visibly upset Ethan. “We got worried after that day he wouldn’t come back or something."

Now---nearly two months later Chris still has not contacted his family.

The Harrisons are struggling emotionally and financially.
"Right now (Chris’ wife) and the kids are in a big bind. They have rent due, lights due, and they just really need to know where he's at so they can get back on their feet and do what they're supposed to be doing," says Chris’ mom, Peggie.

The family holds out hope that Chris will be found safe, and they can't imagine how something like this could happen.

All they can do now is wait, hope, and pray it won't be long before that happy birthday call comes a little late.

The family is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to finding Chris Harrison.
