ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) -- The Enterprise Lions Club Boll Weevil 100 started in 2010 and this year, it has a new partner - Project Hero.
The Boll Weevil 100 committee raises funds for wounded veteran bikers and runners to help with their recovery and rehabilitation.
Next year, the annual event will be designated as an "honor ride" and the Lion's Club will use the proceeds for its vision outreach.
"That money goes to Alabama Lion's Sight, and it’s used to support vision screening and eyeglasses and surgeries for the people who just can't afford it themselves," says Lions Club member Conrad Stempel.
The next Boll Weevil 100 ride is scheduled for May 2, 2020.
