ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) -- A trip down memory lane is what seniors at Enterprise High School took as they walked the halls of where their journeys all began.

Grant Thorn is attending Auburn University and he said, "It’s awesome to walk through and see all the people that got you to this point in life it's just crazy to think it's finally over."

Tarell McMath is attending Enterprise State Community College in the fall and says, "I didn't believe I can do it but they had faith in me and it made me happy to see them again."

Students and teachers cheered them on as younger students hope to one day walk the same walk.

Camille Bonura is attending South Alabama in Mobile and says, "It was really cool seeing them and how fast time will fly by and they just need to take in every moment from the beginning because I remember when I was in elementary school and it just flew by so quickly."

More than 500 graduating seniors split up into five different buses to visit all the local elementary schools. Some of them are still in awe about the next chapter.

Stephan Wilson is going to the military and says, "It's been so long I’ve just been dreaming about graduating for a long time ever since I started school. My whole family has been through graduation."

Administrators say the senior walk has been very successful over the years.

Assistant Principal at Enterprise High School Stan Salus said, "A good incentive -- number one for the students that are at the elementary school to see what they can achieve with hard work they enjoy seeing these seniors, and the seniors also it gives them a sense of accomplishment for all the hard work they've done.

EHS graduation is May 23rd.

School officials say this is the 4th year they've done the senior walk and plan to do it again in 2020.
