ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) -- An Enterprise tradition was held again Friday as some say they're inspired by it while others say they are humbled and spiritually renewed.
The Enterprise Christian Minister's fellowship hosted a crosswalk to remind the community about Good Friday and the importance of Jesus’ death on the cross.
Multiple churches in Enterprise participated and throughout the walk, pastors made seven different prayer devotional stops until they arrived at their destination.
Pastor of Christ the King Luthern Church James Endrihs said"When Christ was placed on the cross as he was walking to Golgotha they enlisted another man, Simon of Cyrene, to carry the cross for him so it's a little bit of that tradition to remind us that on the way to the cross there was an individual that helped Christ out."
The crosswalk began at Lowes on Boll Weevil Circle and ended two miles later at sonic.
Organizers say they hope to keep this tradition going for years to come.
