Dothan suspect considered "armed and dangerous" arrested in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG) -- A man wanted out of Dothan, Alabama, and considered to be armed and dangerous has been caught in Jackson County.

Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies say they were told by Dothan Police Jamir Baxter, 19, was wanted for multiple burglaries, armed burglaries, and at least one armed robbery. They had reason to believe Baxter was traveling through Jackson County in a gold BMW.

They say Baxter was seen in Campbellton. Deputies say they set up a surveillance team. Deputies pulled over Baxter as he was heading to Cottondale. They say Baxter was arrested.

They say Baxter admitted to the burglaries and said some of the items were in the car. When investigators searched the car, they did find items related to the burglaries.
