DOTHAN, Ala. (PR) -- A warm welcome and indulgent comfort foods are just some of the memorable moments that guests will experience as they walk through the doors of Metro Diner in Dothan for the first time on Tuesday, Nov. 13. Just ask Guy Fieri who featured the concept in an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The 3,800-sq. ft. eatery will open at 2777 W. Main Street featuring a menu of everyone’s favorite diner classics. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner all day, the diner will indulge taste buds with new twists on traditional dishes and drinks including beer, wine, mimosas and Bloody Marys.
“Guests feel at home when they come to Metro Diner because we welcome them as if they are coming to our own house,” said Dothan Metro Diner Managing Partner Chris Wyatt. “Metro Diner is known as the place where ‘the locals eat’ and we hope to be the new go-to destination where our Dothan diners turn into regulars.”
Metro Diner features daily blackboard specials with quality ingredients and a made-from-scratch kitchen that also serves gluten-friendly options. From comfort food favorites like Fried Chicken & Waffles and the diner’s acclaimed Meatloaf Plate, to new dinner menu items including Chicken Parmesan and the Pulled Pork Mac Stack – a half-pound of BBQ pulled pork piled over creamy macaroni & cheese and a cheddar cornbread waffle topped with maple butter. The large portion sizes enable guests to enjoy a delicious meal at a great value, with most dishes priced under $15.
The Dothan community is invited to celebrate the arrival of Metro Diner during special pre-opening charity events. All donations will benefit the Wiregrass Humane Society on Saturday, Nov. 10, whose mission is to prevent animal cruelty, provide care for abused or abandoned animals and educate the community on how to address pet overpopulation. On Sunday, Nov. 11, all donations will benefit the Wiregrass United Way, which helps fund more than 40 partner agencies providing valuable services and resources to those in need throughout southeast Alabama. Guests who provide a donation will receive a sneak peek of the new diner and enjoy Metro Diner favorites. Reservations can be made for the fundraisers from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. by calling the diner reservation line at (813) 591-0969.
