MIDLAND CITY, AL (WTVY) -- Renovations are complete on Dale County High School's library, just in time for school Thursday.

The library received $4,100 over the past few months in grants from both Lowe's and Wiregrass RC&D.

The money was used to buy some new books and build a new reading nook in the corner.

It has a new floor and coffee shop decor in hopes of luring in young readers.

"My hope is that every single thing can prove to be an enticement to get kids and see the library. I want to get them to hold and take a book with them and get to love it. I want them to get to love it and come back and recommend it to someone else; then get another one because kids who read are smarter than kids who don't." Tracie Paramore, school librarian sais.

The library now has more than 8,000 books for the students to check out.
