DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- The Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce offers Dothan leadership programs one for adults and another for youth.

Both programs take a day to learn about certain careers in the Dothan area.

The careers range from public, private and government jobs.

Today the two came together and were able to network with each other.

"I have gotten to know services that are available not only to me but to our citizens and we've gotten to know leadership throughout those businesses so that we can once again network use those resources," Dothan Police Lieutenant Rachel David said.

"Getting to interact with these other students from other schools is really amazing because if it weren't for youth leadership, I would've probably never met these people and the connections I've made with them are ones that will last a lifetime," Rehobeth High School junior Hannah Seales said.

The youth program will learn about education and personal development next and the adult program will learn about aviation.
