Curfew implemented at Alabama A&M University

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - An on-campus altercation this week has prompted Alabama A&M University to put a curfew into effect

An an A&M spokesman sent the following announcement:

"On the evening of Tuesday, April 16th, an altercation occurred between individuals on campus. Although there were no weapons involved in the incident, Alabama A&M University immediately took steps to ensure that safety and order were maintained on campus, as this is our highest priority. Effective immediately, the University has implemented a campus-wide curfew to reduce foot traffic on campus beyond 9:00 p.m. Additionally, visitation at residence halls has been restricted, and everyone entering a residential facility must show their student identification.

Again, the safety of our students is our highest priority at Alabama A&M University. The University’s Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident. The safety precautions implemented will remain in place until further notice."
