Although the playground at the park is currently closed, work has already begun on tearing down the old playground to make way for a new one.

However, the park is calling on the community for help installing the new playground.

“We’re planning on having a community build January 3rd and 4th," explained David Jay, who is overseeing the playground construction. "We hope the community will get involved with the playground here. We just have to get it up and ready for the kids to play on."

And if you’re interested in helping with the new playground you can sign up to volunteer at Landmark Parks website.
