DALE COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) -- A Dale County grand jury has indicted Coley McCraney in the murders of J.B. Beasley and Tracie Hawlett.
That means the grand jury found sufficient evidence to carry McCraney to trial. It does not mean the grand jury believes in McCraney's guilt, simply that the evidence is sufficient to warrant a trial.
McCraney has been jailed since his arrest in March, accused of shooting J.B. Beasley and Tracie Hawlett, 17-year old Northview High School students. He is also charged with raping Ms. Beasley.
