DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- Jeff Coleman is hosting his election campaign watch party at The Grand on Foster Street.
Seven candidates are running in the Republican primary for Alabama's 2nd congressional district after incumbent, Martha Roby announced she would not be seeking reelection.
Coleman is no stranger to the Wiregrass, a Dothan native and graduate of Northview High School as well as the CEO/president of Coleman Worldwide Moving.
If Coleman wins the seat, his goals are to stop illegal immigration, stand behind our military bases here in Alabama, and strengthen the economy and create more jobs.
Coleman has led the election in fundraising with $1.9 million dollars raised as of February 12th with Jessica Taylor in second with $307,000.
If no candidate receives a majority of the vote in the March 3rd primary, a primary runoff will take place March 31st.
The candidate must receive 51% of the votes to advance to the general election in November.
