ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) -- Coffee County Businessman Barry Moore has joined the race to replace Congresswoman Martha Roby.

Moore served as a state representative from 2010 to 2018.

He gave up the seat to seek the Republican Primary for congress last year.

Moore failed to make the runoff, but the dynamics have changed.

Roby has announced she will retire from Congress at the end of next year.

"It's not about power right now. It's more about the people. It's more about what can we do to represent our districts whether it be our veterans, small business owners, single moms, whatever that demographic looks like," said Candidate Barry Moore.

The field of candidates who Moore will oppose is growing.

Already announced are Dothan businessman Jeff Coleman and State Representative Will Dismukes.

Others are also eyeing the race.
