OZARK, Ala. (WTVY) -- Carroll High School paused to honor veterans on November 12.

The program was delayed because the high school's JROTC had its calendar full with Veteran's Day programs across the Wiregrass all last week.

Today they took charge of their own program, which included music from the high school band.

Keynote speaker retired Colonel Mark Jones talked about the value of America's veterans.

"It's extremely important that our young folks, our young people, our high school students understand the importance of Veterans Day understand the importance and the sacrifice of all our veterans. They have truly made this country what it is today," said Retired Colonel Mark Jones.
