Boys and Girls Club helps families during summertime

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- For 60 years, the Wiregrass Boys and Girls Club has hosted a summer program... and this year is no different.

The Dothan, Geneva, and Enterprise locations will offer services to kids from 1st to 8th grade.

During the summer, Monday through Friday from 7 am to 6 pm - kids will attend weekly field trips, arts and crafts, and educational activities.

"It gives the kids an opportunity to learn things they've never learned, it's a safe place for children to come and be while their parents are at work alone. It keeps them very involved and very active, the educational programs we do most of the time they're so fun the kids don't really understand that they are educational," Christy Browning, executive assistant Wiregrass Boys and Girls Club.

The summer program registration starts February 10th and it is first-come, first-serve until all spots are filled.

For more information on how to sign up you can stop by any Boys and Girls Club location or visit their website at bgcwiregrass.org
