PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A Panama City Beach icon is on its way back home after repairs.

"Big Gus" the 20,000-pound steer that sits out front of Angelo's Steak Pit was taken down by Hurricane Michael, but now more than five months later he's almost back home.

Chad's Paint and Body shop in Ashford, Alabama has been repairing "Big Gus" and say he should be back in his rightful place by Wednesday or Thursday.

Angelo's is set to reopen for the season next Monday, March 18th.
