DOTHAN, Al. (WTVY) The owners say there isn’t anywhere they could get authentic Indian food, so they decided to create their own. The first "authentic Indian" restaurant, Holi, is now open on the west side of Dothan.

Holi has created 14 new jobs in Dothan.

They plan on holding an Indian celebration, once a year to mark the tradition Indian festival of colors.

Co-owner Maulik Patel says,
"In the ancient world, all the colors came out in the spring, and that’s when the farmers started and that’s what they were celebrating, and that is what the event is all about."

The restaurant is open 7 days a week.
Monday-Friday 11am-2:30pm then 5pm-10pm
Saturday-Sunday 12pm-3pm then 5pm-10pm

Holi is located at 2855 Ross Clark Circle.
