AT&T pledged on Wednesday to give its more than 200,000 U.S. workers a $1,000 bonus.

The Republican tax plan slashes the tax rate on corporations.

AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson said it will "create good-paying jobs."

Stephenson's support -- among echoes of criticism -- was welcomed by President Donald Trump.

The bonuses are expected to be delivered over the holidays if the bill is enacted by Christmas.

But it's unclear when the President will sign.
