DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - The Southeast Alabama Community Foundation held 7th annual Run for the Wiregrass Saturday morning.
Runners of all ages registered and lined up to run either the 5K, Half Marathon, or 1 mile fun run.
Run for the Wiregrass is held to raise funds for various charities in the Wiregrass and nearly $175,000 has been raised for local Grants to date.
Myles Gibson, who was the 5K 1st place finisher says, “I was happy, I hurt my hamstring about 3 months ago and so this is my second race since doing that and it didn’t feel bad it felt good so I am happy.”
The run was held in the Flowers Hospital Parking Lot.
